Rev. Niyi Adams is the leader of Sound of the Word Ministries located in Bowie, Maryland. He came into ministry in 1992 and served for five years as music minister at Decross Gospel Mission, Lagos, Nigeria, under Evangelist Dr. Ebenezer Obey. There he was developed by God as a Christian leader, a songwriter and music producer. He relocated to the United states in 1997 and served for four years as Youth Pastor at Christ Apostolic Church, Lanham, Md. His home church, for the past 8 years, is Evangel Assembly, Camp Springs, Md., under the leadership of Rev. St. Clair Mitchell. With Evangel as his home-base, he functions as an traveling minister. He has ministered as a saxophone artist, worship leader and preacher of God's holy word at numerous services, concerts, revival meetings and conferences. As a producer and songwriter of Christian music, he has produced 3 CDs, "Caution: God At Work," "Chronicles," 'Trust In Jesus," and one live DVD "Intimate Worship Experience." He has also lent his talents to several local and international Christian artists. His passionate saxophone sound reflects his all or nothing mindset. He has a strong desire to proclaim the love and faithfulness of God and to provoke everyone to a loving relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
